RN Licensure

Current, unrestricted licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Washington is required of all students in the Master of Nursing (MN) and Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) programs. Your license will be verified with the State on an annual basis.

Students entering the MN or DNP programs through the Graduate Entry Program in Nursing (GEPN) must earn active unrestricted Washington State RN licensure before beginning the MN or DNP portion of the program.

Licensure is not required for students in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ABSN), Master of Science (MS), or Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing Science (PhD) programs.
