Clinical Placements through North Puget Sound Clinical Placement Consortium

This memorandum covers the clinical placement process and timelines for undergraduate and graduate placements through the North Puget Sound Clinical Placement Consortium, hereafter referred to “the consortium.” 

Regional membership includes healthcare partners and nursing education partners. Clinical placements and clinical passports must follow the consortium guidelines and timelines. The regional member list includes:

  1. North Puget Sound Clinical Consortium (NPSCPC)
  2. Inland Northwest Clinical Placement Consortium
  3. Clinical Placement Consortium #1

Undergraduate Clinical Placements 

Consortium Website = http://www.cpnorthwest.org

please email Jenn Rathe (jrathe@uw.edu) for a login and password. All placements MUST be requested through the consortium. It is the responsibility of the department course coordinator to review and confirm for accuracy student placements on all consortium grids. 

The School of Nursing submits annual requests (Fall through Summer) for clinical placements to the consortium. The timeline and responsibilities are as follows:

Consortium Placement Timeline for Graduate Students

Graduate student placements in consortium sites are currently handled by the Clinical Placement Coordinators in the department tracks. Jenn Rathe, Clinical Education Specialist, submits clinical passports for faculty and graduate students according to consortium deadlines.
