NRSA Grants

Predoctoral fellowship support is available from the NIH in the form of Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Awards (F31 awards).

Postdoctoral fellowship support is available from the NIH in the form of Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Awards (F32 awards).

Applicants should make a preliminary appointment with the ONR Grants Manager as soon as they plan to submit an application (onrhelp@uw.edu). Because sponsors and referees must submit extensive information in support of the application, ONR advises a minimum of 2.5 months to plan and design a competitive submission. The complete application package is due to the grant analyst two full weeks before the sponsor deadline.  ONR also has examples of recent successful applications.
