Competencies

American Association of Colleges of Nursing’s Essentials outline expected competencies of a graduate from an AACN accredited Master’s or DNP programs in the U.S.:

The Council on Links’s (COL) Core Competencies for Public Health Professionals outlines eight domains of competencies and three tiers of practices for the U.S. interdisciplinary public health workforce development. The Quad Council of Public Health Nursing Organization’s core competencies use the same domains and tier structure but also reflect necessary knowledge, skills, and attitudes unique to community and public health nursing practices.

Collaborative Leadership, developed by the Turning Point Program, is the leadership framework integrated in the CHN curriculum.
