You are encouraged to attend any of our UW School of Nursing application information sessions held at the Magnuson Health Sciences Center on the Seattle campus. Sessions are held for our Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Master of Nursing, and Doctor of Nursing Practice programs. Learn tips for submitting a competitive application!

Please double-check this website prior to coming to an info session to be sure it has not been canceled. Cancellation is rare but does happen on occasion.

Room numbers beginning with "HS" are in the Health Sciences T-Wing. Room UWMC RR134 is on the 1st flooor of the UW Medical Center (once on the 1st floor, go south from the BB elevators and turn left to find the classroom).

Online Information Sessions

Our online PowerPoint presentations help applicants understand our admissions process and provide tips that will allow you submit the most competitive application you can. This is a great resource if you are not able to attend one of our information sessions on the Seattle campus!


Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)/Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ABSN)

Information sessions for the BSN and the ABSN programs are combined into one session. We offer live information sessions on a limited basis during Fall Quarter.  For your convenience, you can easily access previously recorded sessions and slides for the BSN program and the ABSN program.

Online BSN/ABSN Info Session


Master of Nursing (MN) / Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)

Information sessions for the MN and the DNP programs are combined into one session. We offer live information sessions on a limited basis during Fall Quarter.  Because the DNP application has been revised, we will be re-recording the grad session.  Expect an updated version in late September 2013.

Master of Science in Nursing (MS) / Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing Science

The School of Nursing does not hold information sessions for the Master of Science (MS) or Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing Science (PhD) programs.

Bothell & Tacoma Campuses: BSN Completion Program for RNs & MN Program

The UW Bothell (UWB) and UW Tacoma (UWT) campuses offer both MN and BSN Completion Program for RNs.

UWB offers nursing advising during weekly advising sessions done in Student Affairs. UW Bothell Information Sessions for all programs are every Wednesday, 12:00pm and 5:30pm. Call (425) 352-5000 or visit the UW Bothell website for directions and program information.

UW Tacoma holds frequent information sessions which include resource tables and optional campus tours. The nursing program contact is Dannah Madden, Advisor. Interested students can contact the campus at (253) 692-4400 or the Nursing office at (253) 692-4470 for more information or visit the UW Tacoma website for information session dates and times, program information, directions and additional outreach programs.
