Program Evaluation

In a continued effort to evaluate quality and improve results, the BSN Coordinating Committee (BSNCC) is responsible for evaluating the ABSN program. BSNCC works in conjunction with Academic Services (AS) to assess student competency upon entry into the program and at the end of the first calendar year of the program; reviews program evaluation data annually, assessing outcomes of students who complete the program against specific benchmarks; and when indicated, appoints work groups to address areas of desired curricular change.

ABSN and GEPN Evaluation Tools, designed to measure specific outcomes related to the goals of the pre-RN licensure of the program, are:

  1. End of First Summer Survey
  2. End of Year One Survey

A Program Evaluation Report is produced annually and is used by BSNCC to modify and improve the pre-licensure portion of the program.

The graduate degree portion of GEPN is evaluated by the corresponding coordinating committee: MCC leads the MN and MS programs, DNPCC leads the DNP program evaluations, and the PhD Coordinating Committee (PhDCC) leads the PhD program evaluation. Unique tools and processes are utilized to evaluate each of these graduate programs.
